Changed Life After Few Games Of Poker

About 18 months ago I was struggling to pay my mortgage and household bills. Not enough money was coming in to the house even when me and my wife were working. We were struggling to fulfil our children’s need and also pay some of the bills. One day we were just mocking about Facebook playing free poker. I was always good in playing poker as I had been playing for a while now, then my wife had an idea. She wanted me to join an online poker room.

At first I said no because first of all we had no money second of all I want to save some money for our children’s need. She politely said ok how about you play with 20 pounds; we cannot lose a lot in that. I thought what the hell I will give it a go. So I signed up to a party poker team online. I signed up with £20 and started playing and after hours of playing I made the £20 to £100 and I stopped on £100 for the day. I didn’t tell my wife because I know she would be like play more. You should never be addicted to gambling and I don’t want to be doing this everyday.

I took that £100 and paid the bills for that month and then I realised we are back in the same position and struggling again. Then after few weeks I found a full tilt Rakeback £30 voucher in one of my old magazine. So I thought I can used this for poker and see what happens as it is a free voucher. I started playing the same eevning and after few weeks of playing my winnings was £300. From which I saved £200 and spent £100 for the household bills for that month and then I realized I have just saved £200. Then I kept playing for few hours every weekend and after few months my winnings was upto £3000.

I controlled the addictive nature of gambling and only played over the weekends. I wanted to give more time to my family and I did even though I was playing poker. Now after 18 months of poker I am a professional poker player and my savings is up to £50,000. Our life has changed.
